Below is an idea of the general schedule that we will follow each day

(approximate times...subject to change):

 

Morning Group

**7:50**          Breakfast is served beginning at this time in the lunchroom for those families who                                   would like to utilize this service.

   7:50-8:00   Students may arrive/be dropped off in the classroom

   8:00-8:20   Table Time Centers (small motor or basic skill activities, such as scissor practice,                                     colors/shapes/numbers/letters, play-doh molding, rhyming/opposites, stringing                                       beads/cereal, partner or small group learning games, etc.)

   8:25             Calendar Time (at carpet)---counting practice, days of the week, months, weather,                                  basic skills, name recognition activities, etc

   8:40             Story Time---books, poems, fingerplays, music & movement

   9:00             Project---(this correlates with a theme/story/concept we are studying)

   9:25             Centers/Free Choice Time (individual assessments/observations done during this time)

  10:05            Clean-up

  10:10             Snack Time

  10:25            Recess

  10:45            Wrap-up...whole group activity (Weekly Reader, Show and Tell, game, etc.)

  10:55            Pack-up

   11:00            Dismiss 

 

Afternoon Group

12:05-12:15     Students may arrive/be dropped off in the classroom

12:15-12:35     Table Time Centers (small motor or basic skill activities, such as scissor practice,                                    colors/shapes/numbers/letters, play-doh molding, rhyming/opposites, stringing                                      beads/cereal, partner or small group learning games, etc.)

   12:40            Calendar Time (at carpet)---counting practice, days of the week, months, weather,                                  basic skills, name recognition activities, etc.

   12:55            Story Time---books, poems, fingerplays, music & movement

    1:15              Project---(this correlates with a theme/story/concept we are studying)

    2:30            Snack Time

    2:50            Outside Recess Time/Gym activities (large motor) 

    3:15              Dismiss

***Each group enjoys the special classes of Library with Mrs. Riggen and PE with Mr. Bruinsma every week--they are worked into our daily schedules (SHOW and TELL is on Thursdays for BOTH groups!):

---Morning Group has Library on Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. and PE on Thursdays at 9:50 a.m

---Afternoon Group has PE on Tuesdays at 2:40 p.m. and Library on Wednesdays at 1:50 p.m.
